College of Food, Ag & Nat Res Sci
The research in this group leverages domain knowledge, satellite data, computational models, and machine learning approaches to address agricultural and environmental sustainability. They strongly believe data analytics is becoming a new frontier in agriculture, thus their major focuses are:
- Mapping agriculture features using high-resolution satellite imagery
- Forecasting crop yields for a range of applications
- Integrating crop models with remote sensing for precision nitrogen management
- Understanding the impacts of climate change on agroecosystems
The group runs process-based crop models on the supercomputers.
