Project Title:
Computational Metagenomics

The Knight computational microbiology lab develops methods that bring precision medicine to the microbiome. They apply those methods to find patterns in microbial communities that predict and diagnose human diseases, and use those patterns to develop novel therapeutics and diagnostics.

This work was featured on the MSI website in April 2015: The Fungal Microbiome in Infants and September 2015: Changes in the Human Gut Microbiome Caused by Colorectal Cancer.
