The focus of this research is the study of pediatric cancers with a specific focus on osteosarcoma. The research uses a diverse set of analytical tools as guided by the biological questions being addressed. This includes GWAS, variant calling, differential expression analysis, clustering, and association testing. Technical skills such as Perl, R, MySQL, remote and cloud computing are used to tackle complex biological question that can only be addressed through the use of multifaceted dataset and complex algorithms. The research focus is to contribute to assay development, create informatics pipelines, and create experiment design in service to the pediatric research community at the University of Minnesota.
