Project Title: 
Time Resolved Rheology, Imaging, and Neutron Scattering

The Calabrese group studies the rheology of a variety of complex fluids using advanced characterization techniques. In particular, these techniques have high spatial and temporal resolution, which yields more information about the samples under study, but also increases the complexity of data analysis and processing. Some techniques involve high-speed recording of system dynamics. Data produced from these techniques are processed frame-by-frame, which can be time-expensive. Additionally, some projects involve complex curve fitting of neutron scattering data. Often, these fitting procedures are iterative, testing several models and initial conditions to check robustness.
