Project Title:
Role and Effects of Opioid Receptors in Skin on Sensation, Healing, and Chronobiology

These researchers are involved in several projects that involve large datasets. They will be receiving data from the Genomic Institute of Singapore (GIS ASTAR), where they did various projects with full RNA sequencing of experiments including effects of opioid receptors in skin pathophysiology. These data include effects of opioids on melanoma skin cultures, as well as on CLOCK genes.

In addition, the group is planning to collect skin and mucus membrane samples in patients with chronic pain and addiction. Full RNA sequencing of these samples will be performed. These data will be stored as well at MSI for further analysis.
