College of Education/Human Dev
The MN Youth Development Research Group conducts research on human development with a focus on youth (ages 12 to 24). This research includes methodological research involving complex psychometric and longitudinal models, sometimes involving simulations to evaluate model estimation accuracy and precision. The researchers employ a database of 500,000 cases and over 1,000 variables. Some models require multiple resampling and numerous iterations in the estimation routines, requiring the use of high-performance computing resources.
