MSI PIs Receive Brain Imaging Grants
MSI PIs Colin DeYoung (associate professor, Psychology) and Nicola Grissom (assistant professor, Psychology) have both received CLA Brain Imaging Grants for Spring 2023. These grants can be used for seed funding for projects or to purchase items for ongoing infrastructure needs.
Professor DeYoung uses MSI for investigations into variations in cognition, emotion, motivation, and behavior, including cognitive abilities and risks for psychopathology, using a computationally expensive method called group-prior individualized parcellation. Professor Grissom uses MSI for projects that access the molecular, circuit, and cognitive impacts of sex and genotypes associated with neurodevelopmental diagnoses in mice, with the goal of determining potential mechanisms for increased female resilience to these diagnoses.
