Barocas Receives Education and Mentorship Medal
Long-time MSI PI Victor Barocas (professor, Biomedical Engineering; Institute for Engineering in Medicine) has been awarded the 2023 Robert M. Nerem Education and Mentorship Medal from the American Society for Mechanical Engineers. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in education and mentoring of trainees. Professor Barocas uses MSI for computational modeling in studies of multiscale biomechanics with the goal of creating a "materials science of tissue."
