MSI PIs to Lead VA Lung Cancer Research
MSI PIs Chris Wendt (professor, Medicine) and Mark Klein (associate professor, Medicine) are co-leaders, along with a researcher from the Omaha VA Medical Center, of a new grant from the Veterans Health Administration. The $4.5 million grant forms the Upper Midwest VA Lung Cancer Screening and Research Network, which will expand lung cancer screenings and research among veterans. Professor Wendt uses resources at MSI for proteomics-based research into lung diseases. Professor Klein is using MSI for studies of peptides as part of research into anticancer therapies.
