Two MSI PIs, Professor Gary Muehlbauer (Agronomy and Plant Genetics) and Professor Peter Tiffin (Plant and Microbial Biology), have been named lifetime fellows by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This award honors members of the AAAS who have distinguished themselves in their work to advance science or its applications. Five University of Minnesota faculty members were selected as 2021 Fellows. An article about these researchers and their work appears on the U of M News website: AAAS Honors Five University of Minnesota Faculty as Lifetime AAAS Fellows.
