A 2001 MSI summer undergraduate intern, Zack Garbow, is the co-founder of a company that provides web-based technologies to the funeral industry. Mr. Garbow was an MSI intern in the group of MSI Fellow David Yuen (Earth Sciences) and worked with Professor Yuen’s group until 2004. MSI PI Nikos Papanikolopoulos (Computer Science and Engineering) was featured on the Big Ten Network’s “Impact the Future” program on February 28. MSI PI Michael Travisano (Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior) is the lead author on a paper about how multicellular organisms developed, published recently in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
