Analyses of Sequence Data Used in Investigating the Geobiology of Sulfur Bacteria
The activities of microorganisms have a profound influence on geological processes, such as the formation and dissolution of minerals and rocks. The Bailey lab primarily investigates the influences of sulfur bacteria on the precipitation and dissolution of authigenic minerals. Their investigations require analysis of single-gene and whole-genome sequence data.
