Parameter Estimation for Large Complex Reaction Networks
This group uses MSI resources to perform parameter estimation for large complex reaction networks. These parameters represent the kinetic rate constants and activation energies of reactions in a complex reaction system in a system of differential-algebraic equations. The problem is a non-linear programming (NLP) problem that has multiple minima as solutions and requires running multiple files with different initial guesses. The researchers will use multiple nodes for running their code and analyze the parameter space for the best solution. This research is supported by the National Science Foundation.
