Continuum and Nanoscale Simulations of the Dynamics of Polymers, Colloids, and Thin Films
These researchers are pursuing several projects aimed at simulating various aspects of the dynamics of polymer solutions, colloidal suspensions, and thin liquid films. These projects make use of finite-difference, finite-element, spectral, and Brownian dynamics simulation methods. Fundamental knowledge gained from this work is expected to benefit a number of technologies including printing and coating, nanofluidics and microfluidics, and biomaterials.
