3D Reconstruction of Porous Structure From Immisible Polymer Blends
Porous structures can be derived from immisible polymer blends by selective solvent extraction. These researchers can make co-continuous porous structure with average pore size ranging from 1.2 micron to hundreds of microns. They use the software package Avizo, available at MSI, to do 3D reconstruction of the porous structure and calculate the surface area in the structure to get the pore size. This is a useful characterization method.
A bibliography of this group’s publications acknowledging MSI is attached.
