Generalized Linear Modeling of Neuronal Data From Monkey Recordings
These researchers have gained access to recordings of over 1,000 neurons, recorded 40 at a time, in monkeys while doing a behavioral task from their colleague, Matt Chafee. To identify connections between the neurons and characterize these connections dynamics, they fit generalized linear models to the data. This is computationally intensive but easily parallalizable analysis. MSI will help the group to analyze this data more efficiently.
