Analysis of Flagellar Proteins
These researchers study proteins that regulate the activity of dynein motors in Chlamydomonas flagella by analyzing wild-type and mutant strains with defects in flagellar motility or assembly. They compare the polypeptide composition of the strains using iTRAQ analysis. They also identify interactions between different polypeptides using co-immunoprecipitation and MS/MS analysis of protein bands isolated from SDS-PAGE.
A bibliography of this group’s publications is attached. This research was featured in an MSI Research Spotlight in March 2014.
