Legume-Rhizobia Genomics

These researchers use genomic data to advance our understanding of the evolution of legume plants and rhizobia bacteria. These organisms are ecologically and economically important -- not only are legumes important food plants but the symbiosis between plants and rhizobia is an important contributor of nitrogen (plant fertilizer) to natural and agricultural ecosystems. They use MSI resources to store and analyse large full-genome datasets as well as conduct computationally-intensive simulations for evaluating analytical methods
