Python is a high level programming language that aims to combine remarkable power with very clear syntax. Anaconda is a free cross-platform Python distribution from Continuum Analytics . It comes built in with various scientific Python packages such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Numba, etc.
Mimics is useful for visualization and segmentation of CT / MR images and 3D rendering of objects. It also provides an interface to create FEM meshes. MSI currently has the following modules Mimics basic - Allows segmentation, registration and measurement on 3D object STL+ - Allows creation of 3D object for rapid prototyping FEM - Add material property, create FEM mesh and export files to standard FEM packages
From the Tensorflow website: TensorFlow is an open source software library for numerical computation using data flow graphs. Nodes in the graph represent mathematical operations, while the graph edges represent the multidimensional data arrays (tensors) communicated between them. TensorFlow was originally developed by researchers and engineers working on the Google Brain Team within Google's Machine Intelligence research organization for the purposes of conducting machine learning and deep neural networks research, but the system is general enough to be applicable in a wide variety of other...
From the Caffe website: Caffe is a deep learning framework made with expression, speed, and modularity in mind. It is developed by Berkeley AI Research ( BAIR ) and by community contributors. Yangqing Jia created the project during his PhD at UC Berkeley. Caffe is released under the BSD 2-Clause license .
ABySS is a de novo, parallel, paired-end genomic sequence assembler that is designed for short reads. The single-processor version is useful for assembling genomes up to 100 Mbases in size. The parallel version is implemented using MPI and is capable of assembling larger genomes. To assemble transcriptome data, consider the related program trans-abyss.
