Data can migrate between the following Tiers on Stratus:

  1. Active Analysis
    1. Volume Storage
       
  2. Secure Archive
    1. dbGaP Cache (s3cache)
    2. Persistent Secure Storage (s3secure)
       
  3. Sanitized Data (i.e., non-protected and non-governed) 
    1. Tier II (tier2)
    2. Archive Tape Storage*
