  • CUDA, (the Compute Unified Device Architecture), is a parallel computing platform and programming model created by NVIDIA and implemented by the graphics processing units (GPUs) that they produce.

  • MSI systems have available the GNU project compilers for C, C++, and Fortran.  Extensive information concerning regarding these compilers is available at the GNU Compiler Collection website.

  • Fortran, C and C++ Compilers for Linux. The Intel compiler suite includes OpenMP and many standard libraries.

  • The Intel MPI libraries allow for high performance MPI message passing between processes.  They are part of the Intel Cluster Studio package, and are available on MSI systems.

  • Parallel Fortran, C and C++ Compilers & Tools for Programming HPC Clusters. The PGI CDK includes pre-configured versions of MPI for Ethernet or InfiniBand, and a pre-configured batch queueing system.
