With regards to the safety measures put in place by the university to mitigate the risks of the COVID-19 virus, at this time all MSI systems will remain operational and can be accessed remotely as usual. "DIAMOND is a new high-throughput program for aligning DNA reads or protein sequences against a protein reference database such as NR, at up to 20,000 times the speed of BLAST, with high sensitivity."
To use this software interactively in a Linux environment, use the commands:
module load diamond
diamond [COMMAND] [OPTIONS]
Instructions for the use of DIAMOND can be found on the developer's website.
