With regards to the safety measures put in place by the university to mitigate the risks of the COVID-19 virus, at this time all MSI systems will remain operational and can be accessed remotely as usual. The only planned outages concern our in-person Helpdesk and tutorials. More information, as well as alternative remote support options, can be found at MSI COVID-19 Continuity Plan

"DIAMOND is a new high-throughput program for aligning DNA reads or protein sequences against a protein reference database such as NR, at up to 20,000 times the speed of BLAST, with high sensitivity."
To use this software interactively in a Linux environment, use the commands:
module load diamond
diamond [COMMAND] [OPTIONS]
Instructions for the use of DIAMOND can be found on the developer's website.
To run this software under Windows, connect using instructions provided on our Windows systems page. Once logged in, navigate to:
Start > All Programs > Accelrys
> Discovery Studio 3.5 Client
Documentation is available within the program through the help menu.
