The high volume of data generated by the Illumina/Solexa sequencing instrument presents challenges for handling data and its analysis.
This hands-on tutorial will help users get started with data analysis of Illumina sequencing data. We will use sample data sets to walk through the basic steps, including converting qseq files into fastq files, quality control of sequence data, submitting jobs at the CGL, De novo assembly with Velvet, SOAPdenovo, and align/mapping with Bowtie and map.
|Prerequisites:||Genomic sequencing knowledge|
