Tutorial Details: ANSYS Workbench

Date: Thursday, March 24, 2011, 01:00 pm - 03:00 pm
Location: 402 Walter
Instructor(s): David Porter, MSI

ANSYS is a general-purpose finite-element program for engineering analysis, and includes preprocessing, solution, and post-processing functions. ANSYS is used in a wide range of disciplines for solutions to mechanical, thermal, and electronic problems. This tutorial will review the basic use of the ANSYS workbench along with solvers and components available to MSI researchers. We will also cover selected topics such as best practices and MSI hosts for running large and parallel problems, multi-physics models (using more than one ANSYS solver), and automated parameter space studies. Working examples will be provided.
