ChIP-Seq combines chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) with massively parallel DNA sequencing to identify the set of cis-acting targets for trans-acting DNA-associated proteins on a genome scale. It can be used to map global binding sites for any protein of interest.
This tutorial will review the technology of ChIP-seq and data analysis software, including the Galaxy framework implemented at the University of Minnesota. We will also briefly review bioinformatics tools for further downstream data analysis.
