July 2020: Programming with Python

This registration page is for the July 2020 tutorial series 

Introduction to fundamentals of programming using the python language. Participants will code along with the instructor as they demonstrate the concepts live. Topics covered will include storing data in variables and grouping it into lists, repeating actions with loops, making choices using conditionals, and creating functions.

The Summer 2020 session will be hosted online via Zoom.  It will be split up into one hour sessions over 5 days.  Instructions on how to join the Zoom session will be emailed out to registrants the day before the session is scheduled.  The schedule is as follows:

Monday, July 13 2:00-3:00pm:  Fundamentals and Working with Data

Tuesday, July 14 2:00-3:00pm:  Loops, Lists, and Automating Analysis

Wednesday, July 15 2:00-3:00pm:  Making Choices and Creating Functions

Thursday, July 16 2:00-3:00pm: Errors and Exceptions, Defensive Programming, and Debugging

Friday, July 17 2:00-3:00pm: Command-Line Programs
