Professor Uwe Kortshagen

The Kortshagen group focuses on plasma materials science. There are currently two research directions for which the group uses MSI resources:

• Using Comsol for plasma simulations from global (zero-dimensional) models to two-dimensional models.
• Exploring the application of plasma synthesized nanomaterials in agrivoltaics. For this purpose, the researchers have developed a code that models the thermal load balance of greenhouses that are equipped with luminescent solar concentrators based on plasma-produced silicon crystals.
